ISU Paragraph
In the story “Taken” Pressure affects Stephanie in many ways. There is peer pressure put on her when her dad dies. She cries all the time "Right there, in front of everyone who was waiting around before they had to go inside, I started to cry." (Taken pg. 72)
Self-Pressure after being kidnapped and left tied in a shed alone and has to escape before her captor comes back. “I struggled with the ropes around my wrists and ankles, but they were too tight. My mouth was dry..” (Taken pg. 22) she manages to escape she has to run and find help before her captor comes back and hunts her down.
Finally she has pressure from the elements. While she is running she has to survive in the wild, keep herself alive and not be found by her captor. These are the pressures that affect Stephanie through the story that have her run away and on her way home get kidnapped.
